I migrated several servers into a compact 19-inch rack and reworked my Arduino Uno fan controller to fit a 1U RND enclosure. I show choosing the case, adding a rotary encoder and filter circuits, testing signals, and 3D-printing panels. Read the full post for STL files and build notes.

I built a PID-controlled fan and temperature controller for my printer enclosure in about four hours using an Adafruit Feather, DHT22, OLED, MOSFET, and a PWM fan. I walk through printing the case, wiring, firmware setup, and assembly—read on if you'd like to build one yourself.

I finally put the fan controller into a cheap plastic case, drilled holes, mounted the Arduino with spacers, and aligned the display using double-sided tape. I cut the panel with a Dremel and it fit better than I expected — read on for photos and simple tips.
