I just updated the flat boxes set. All existing boxes got a new revision, with an even better wall profile and there are five additional boxes in this set.
If you compare the corner for revision A and revision B, you see the difference easily.
The corner in revision A has an equal radius over the whole height, while revision B has a different radius but the same centre for the corner. I changed this profile to fix minor problems in the slicer.
Here you can clearly see the difference between revision A at the bottom and revision B at the top.
Additional Boxes
I also added five additional boxes to the flat set. One large 2×4 box and four different boxes with a grid.
As usual, you will find all details on the project page and in the catalog. Existing customers already got the updated and additional files in advance.
If you have any questions, missed information, or simply want to provide feedback, feel free to comment below. You can also contact me on this website or on Twitter. 😄
I published a detailed update to my stackable storage boxes project that adds new rail grid series, larger sizes up to 9×9, and improved catalogues. I outline design reasoning, alternative part-number placement, image and archive changes. If this sounds useful, please read the full post for downloads and printing notes.
I present a symmetric logic-gate circuit that implements a well-known function. Try to identify the function; hints are provided if you get stuck. If you enjoy this kind of puzzle, read the full post for images, tips, and the solution - I'd love your feedback and suggestions for more puzzles.
I walk you through designing the final PCB for a low-cost plant watering sensor: choosing tools, shaping the board, iterative layouts, BOM decisions, assembly planning and unit-cost calculations. If you want practical steps and cost details, please read the full post to follow the next parts.
I demonstrate SMD soldering in a short practice video, working through 1206 and 0805 packages and wrestling with tiny 0603 parts. If you’re curious about surface-mount techniques or improving your hand-soldering, watch the full video — I share what I learned and a few practical tips.
I received 3mil polyimide stencils from OSH Stencils for my Swiss precision timer project. They feel flimsy compared to the steel stencils I usually use, but cost much less. I’ll test solder paste application and the first prototype in the coming weeks — please read the full post for results.
I've released Lucky World, a compact jump'n'run for the MeggyJr RGB featuring an intro, 16+ levels, secrets and an end scene. I squeezed it into ATmega328P limits and shared the sources under GPLv2. If you're curious, please read on for downloads, requirements, and play instructions.
