First, I’d like to thank you very much for reading this, 😄 because it means you are already a great supporter of my work. On my blog, you saw beautiful photos of electronic boards, got detailed instructions on how to build plant watering sensors, fan controllers or a pet feeder. Also, you get access to well-designed code, and a detailed explanation of how things are built and the software developed.
I don’t know if you are a maker, getting inspiration for your own builds, or just enjoying the documentations, photos and videos. Yet, it seems you enjoy the content you see.
Why do I publish all the content?
I grew up at a time without the Internet and worked at a place where I could experience how this network reached the masses. Access to the Internet opens a world of knowledge to everyone, and this changed a lot. Building electronic devices with microcontrollers, as a hobby, was in the end only possible because of widespread information available to everyone.
My core values are: open-mindedness, equality and diversity 🏳️🌈, curiosity and quality. And I strive to convey these values with my blog. You can build wonderful and interesting things, no matter of your origin, gender, religion, … All what counts is your curiosity to learn new things and skills, embracing new ideas with an open mind and strive to create, design and build in a good quality.
Publishing how I build devices shall inspire you to build and explore, and by explaining all the details you can learn from my successes and failures. As a professional technical engineer and software developer, I also try to provide you with carefully prepared code, so you can learn how to develop software of good quality.
Why supporting me?
Your support will help me produce more content, more interesting devices, do more research and keep all the content free for all. It also helps me to invest more time in the quality of the documentation of the projects.
What do you get for your support?
On Patreon, you will stay up to date with all big and small project updates. Your support will be the reason why all material, designs and software will be published for free as open-source software or open hardware. I will develop one or two projects per year and publish articles about programming and or even photography from time to time. Also, I design 3d printing objects.
If you join at higher tiers, I will occasionally publish additional photos and documents of my progress, and at the highest tiers, all items in my shop will be free for you.
What if you can not afford it?
This is absolutely no problem, just enjoy the content as before! People supporting me will make sure the content of the projects will stay free and accessible for you.
I hope you found this information about my commitment useful. If you have any questions, missed information, or simply want to provide feedback, feel free to comment below. 😄
